Magic rocks
It is as if you were in the petrified town! You will walk through Elephant and Small squares in Adrpach rocks, you will see Gothic gate and Devil´s bridge or through Sandy gate you will get to the Stony castle. But this town is not very ordinary, on your each step you will find some natural beauties. There is Eagle´s nest behind the Guard of stones (by the way, in Teplice rocks you will find nests of duck-hawk) You will see the Lioness, the Turtle, the Elephant and the Owl. You will pass through Mouses´s hole and Wolf´s gap, and you will surely admire the fairytale beauty of the countryside there. Mainly Krakono stigmatised that region. However, some names of the object are really strange. The most famous are the Lovers, standing high above the green beeches and dark tips of pines. That natural sculpture is considered to be the most admiring in the whole region. Anyway, some rocks can compete even with the Lovers. See the Pot for example, that has a dolphine-like handle, dream under the slim Lover-girl, get tender under the Twins in the swaddling clothes and confess a love before the Lovers mountain.
Majority of the rocks got their name in the 18th century, when tourists begun to visit the Adrpach-Teplice rocks area. Even then it was played for the visitor´s entertainment on the horns in legendary Stony echo. Then people shot from a cannon there and counted how many times they heart the echo. The came to the number seven. You may enjoy echos in a small place in Teplice, that is very-well named „Echo“… the sound reflects from the Bald hill opposite to that place. Anyway, although many rocks have their name, there are still some rocks that are only waiting to get one in Adrpach-Teplice rocks. Get inspired by our virtual tour and find your own names for them!
